Happy Birthday Morgan!

On Friday July 17th Morgan turned 28! We decided to have a date night just the two of us, so Aunt Michele watched Paige for a little bit. We went to Carrabbas which is pretty much Morgan's favorite restaurant which was delicious as always:) I attempted to make his birthday cake which turned out not so great... next year I will put more effort into it and really make it great(Paige decided the whole time she wanted to play with me and be held so I was quickly frosting it as fast as I could).

I feel so blessed to have Morgan as my husband. He is so good to Paige and me. Every day I see how much he is trying so hard to be a good husband and father. He has been going to school since a couple of months after we got married so that someday I can be a stay-at-home mom, or whatever I choose. I love how sensitive Morgan is, and how understanding he can be. During my pregnancy he was always there for me, and would be completely understanding if I started crying for no reason:) I love Morgan very much and I look forward to the day that we can become a forever family!

Laughing!

Morgan was smiling at Paige today and she just burst out laughing! It was not just a little giggle but full out laughing! I think it even startled her a little bit, but she just kept going. I am so proud of my little baby and I hope I can get her to laugh again tomorrow!

P.S. The picture is right after bath time. I love it because her hair always goes crazy after it's washed (and Morgan likes to poof it up even more)!

Paige can roll over!

All my posts have been about being a new mommy, and I want to keep continue writing about my baby even more. I want to be able to read back and remember the special moments of Paige growing up.

Two weeks a go from today Paige rolled over for the first time! Too bad I didn't get to see it... I laid Paige on a blanket on the floor so I could brush my teeth and by the time I got back to the next room she had rolled from her back to her belly! Later that day my sister Amber came over and I was telling her about Paige's accomplishment. I laid her down on her belly, and Amber was watching her while I went to get Paige some toys from her room... As soon as I left the room Amber started yelling for me to come here but by the time I got back Paige had rolled over from her belly to her back!

For two weeks I kept trying to get Paige to roll over for me again but she just wouldn't and then last night I laid her on her belly and she rolled over with no problems. She then just looked at me and smiled so big! I hurried and got the camcorder and started recording and she rolled over one more time for me!! I am such a proud mommy, and I love how playful she is becoming. She loves playing on her play mat with all the toys above her, and she is such a smiley, happy baby! I am excited for every stage, and milestone she will reach this year!

P.S. If I can figure out how to get the movie from my camcorder I will put it up!

Blessing Day

Morgan blessed Paige last Sunday and it was absolutely beautiful. I was pretty stressed making sure everything was perfect, and when it finally came everything went so smoothly. I was amazed at how well Morgan did, it was perfect, and Paige was good the entire time! After church both of our families came over to our house and ate lunch and visited for a long time. It was so nice to have everyone there, and I was super excited to meet some of Morgan's extended family I had not had the chance to meet!

Princess Paige turns 4 weeks!

My sweetie turns 4 weeks today and I can't believe how fast time has gone. I love her so much and I love getting to know her personality! Every day brings a new adventure and it's the most amazing thing in the world to be a mommy! I am amazed when I watch Morgan with her, he is such a good Daddy! He actually likes diaper changes, and he loves giving Paige baths and washing her hair. I am so blessed to have such a great family!!

A few of my favorite things about Paige are:
-She has the cutest, fluffiest hair after a bath! It becomes unruly and it's so so cute!
-Her little noises. She loves to squeak and grunt
-Her facial expressions. She is very animated and loves to smile, grin very huge, look troubled, frown, etc. She has so many faces!
-Her cute adorable cry! Paige doesn't cry very much at all, she mostly will just make a little squeak when she wants something so when she does cry it's so cute!!
-Her beautiful face. I love looking at her, she is so beautiful!
-Her absolutely stunning skin. She has a beautiful olive complexion that she got from Morgan.
-Her eyes. When she looks at me, and starts to interact I just love it so much. She has been getting more interactive every day!
-Her personality. Okay, I'm still getting to know her, but so far she is very sweet! She is super cuddly and loves to be held!

I am going to try and update every week what is happening with our family, and mostly Paige!

One week Photos

Paige is now 3 weeks and 3 days and it has gone by sooo fast! At one week our friend Kelli Brewer came over to take Paige's newborn pics before she moved back to D.C. She did such an amazing job!! She is still working on most of them, but she gave us a sneak peak, and so far I absolutely love them!

Our Beautiful Baby

It has now been one week a go on April 17th that I gave birth to our beautiful, healthy baby girl Paige. She came into this world at 6:10 in the morning weighing 6 pounds 7 ounces, and measuring 19 inches long!

I was actually scheduled to be induced Friday the 17th in the evening and Paige decided she wanted to come naturally instead :). I took Thursday off of work because I became so uncomfortable I could not even stand for very long, and was extremely exhausted. Morgan had also taken the night off of work to be with me, and to get some sleep before the induction the next day. Thursday night I was just getting ready for bed and had laid down to watch a little TV before going to sleep. All of a sudden I felt the baby punch me and... my water broke! I quickly jumped up in a panic and started saying, "we need to go to the hospital, my water just broke!" Morgan got ready faster than I knew any person could get ready, and in about two minutes we were out the door. My contractions started almost immediately and from the beginning to her birth it was about 6 hours! Morgan was so amazing through the whole process. He was such a great support, and I don't know if I could have done it without him! Right after Paige was born I got to hold her for a second before they whisked her away to the NICU. She was having a hard time transitioning and breathing, so they put her on a ventilator and some monitors for about two hours. Luckily Morgan got to with her so I wasn't as worried. After about an hour and half I finally got to go up there and see her, and then we went to the nursery where they gave her a bath and her shots. Right before we left the hospital Paige had her Billiruben levels checked for jaundice and she was measuring really high so we had to go back the next day and have them checked again. After they were measuring high again her Dr. decided to put her on a UV bed. It is really sad to see her on it, but luckily they brought the bed straight to our house! Today her levels have dropped quite drastically so hopefully she can go off of the bed!

Being a mother has truly changed me and my outlook on life. I absolutely love her so much and am excited to watch her grow and change! Life is great!!

Happy Birthday Eliza!

My niece Eliza turned one today, and I have to say I have really love being an aunt. She has such a big personality and is such a momma's girl... for real! I've had so much fun this past year getting to know her and playing with her! Over the weekend Amber threw Eliza a birthday party for family and friends. It was a lot of fun and the best part was Eliza eating her birthday cake. She totally got into it, she had her hands in there just digging through the cake and then somehow she got her foot up there into the cake, it was hilarious!

Baby quilt

I just had to post some pictures of this baby quilt my mom made for the baby. She spent so much time on it, and it is absolutely beautiful. I just can't wait to wrap the baby up in it!

Baby Shower

Yesterday my Aunt Katherine threw a baby shower for me and baby Paige. She made the yummiest snacks, and made everyone feel welcome in her home. There were a lot of people who came, and I really realized how much my little family to be is loved. Everyone was so generous and thoughtful, and I really appreciate all they do for me. I especially love the home made gifts that people really put a lot of their precious time and effort to make.

Now that I am so close to Paige's birthday I have been really thinking a lot about how everything is going to change. I feel so blessed to be getting such a precious little soul and for Morgan and I to be trusted enough to raise her. I want to do my best, and really be a great mother. I already love her, and I feel so emotional when I think of her, and how lucky I am to have a daughter.

Thank you to all who came yesterday, and for all the love and support you have shown me, Morgan, and baby Paige. I can't wait for everyone to meet her!

22nd Birthday and Valentines!

This year my birthday and Valentine's were great! Since my birthday is the day after Valentine's we celebrated all weekend! On Valentine's day we woke up and went to our nephew Mason's Transformer themed birthday party. It was so cute to watch him open up all of his presents! After the party we came home so Morgan could get a small nap in. For those of you who don't know, Morgan works the graveyard shift so he sleeps during the day. After his nap we went shopping for my birthday and then Morgan made me an amazing Valentines dinner of Steak, garlic mashed potatoes, and Asparagus! It was so yummy! The next morning after Morgan got home from work he made me a huge birthday breakfast! I love that he loves to cook for me, and he is very good at it! That night we went to my parents and had cake and ice cream and opened presents. The next day on Monday the birthday festivities continued, and my friends threw me a birthday party. We all went to Amanda's house where she had made dinner and cupcakes! It was all so yummy, and the cupcakes were some of the best I've ever had. I love when we can all get together and catch up with everything, especially now where so much is happening in everyone's lives.

30 week picture

Morgan took this picture when I was 30 weeks, which is now a couple weeks a go! Update on the pregnancy:
Everything has been going really well, the baby is very healthy and loves to kick and move around. It is so much fun to watch my belly when she is awake, she loves to push and kick and I wish I could tell where all her little body parts are. I only have two months left and we couldn't be more excited!

Road trip

The second week in February Morgan and I decided to take one last trip before the baby arrives. We drove to California and enjoyed the beautiful weather and the beach! It was so nice to spend the time with each other:)

Christmas 2008

This year's Christmas was one of the best! We started off by traveling to St. George the weekend before Christmas to spend with Morgan's side of the family. We had dinner, played Bingo, and opened presents. It was so much fun to watch the kids and how excited they were to open their presents! We stayed the night at my sis-in-law Holly's house and got to play with the kids! It was so much fun, and my niece Cloey really wanted to do my make-up and paint my nails before we left. When she thought we were going to leave before she could do it she started crying and of course we had to stay :) My face ended up bright pink from all the blush and half of my fingers were painted but it was so worth it! I just love all of my nieces and nephews that got after Morgan and I got married! As we were leaving everyone voted us to plan the family Christmas party for next year... it's going to be a lot of work, but it will be fun. Wish me luck!

Christmas Eve was the night of my family party at my moms. She made us all a big dinner of home-made chicken noodle soup which was delicious. Then we played games and opened presents. My parents gave us all pajamas which is our family tradition, and I love since I always need new pajamas! My niece Eliza was so cute, and the most fun to watch open her presents since she likes the wrapping paper more than the actual presents! That night after we got home we opened our presents from each other which was so much fun! I got Morgan a guitar and I couldn't wait for him to open it! Christmas morning we went back to my moms for a big Christmas breakfast...yummy... and opened more presents.

I loved spending so much time with our families this year, it really made the holidays perfect. Oh, and the baby got just as much presents as Morgan and I which I thought was great! I love having all of the baby stuff already!
