Morgan was on the radio!

Morgan is a very talented musician, he writes, sings, and records his own music! He turned some of his music into x96 last week for the live and local show and they chose one of his songs! It was so awesome to actually hear him on the radio, and I hope he will continue to pursue this dream!

To listen to his song go to

and the song that was played was "Without Armor"

The Baby is a soccer player!

About a week and half a go I started to feel the baby start moving around, and a nudge here and there. Since then the nudges and now kicks are getting stronger and stronger! It is really the most amazing feeling I have ever felt! Two nights a go on Sunday night I was laying down on my side and I rolled over and started feeling the strongest kicks so I had Morgan put his hand on my belly and sure enough the baby gave him a good kick! He was so excited about it, and I was so happy he was finally able to feel our baby!

A quick update: I have my next Dr. app. tomorrow, and we are going to set up the ultrasound app. where we find out what we're having!

Six Month Anniversary

November 9th was our 6th month anniversary and it was such a great day! Morgan woke me up with breakfast in bed. He loves to cook for me, and it was such a great surprise! We got to spend all day together and that night I made him Chicken Enchiladas which are his favorite, and then we went to a movie together! It was such a great day!

I am so lucky to have such a great husband! He is so sweet to me and I know he would do anything for me! I am excited to spend the rest of our lives and forever together. He's my everything! :)

Halloween

For Halloween this year we carved pumpkins with our friends Ian and Emily. It was a lot of fun! We also went over to Morgan's brothers house and went with Mason trick-or-treating! He looked so cute as a scarecrow. Then we watched a really scary movie and I decided again, that I don't really like scary movies any more. I think about them way too much and freak myself out!

Christmas Cards

Christmas is going to be here in only two months! Morgan and I decided we want to send out our first Christmas as a family. We wanted to take the pics early before my belly starts showing so my sister katie came with us and took some pictures for us. I haven't decided which one to send out yet, and I still need to edit them but here are the rough drafts.
P.S. If you would like a card, please leave me your address!

Pregnancy

I am 12 weeks already and I can't believe I am almost out of the first trimester! I just got a cute pregnancy journal from Barnes and Noble called The Belly Book. You write how you're feeling, how you felt when you first found out you were pregnant, how you felt hearing the heartbeat, and has places to put the ultrasound pictures and to write about them. I don't want to forget how I felt, and I think it will be something that will be fun to read when the baby gets older.

I think so far I've been pretty lucky with the pregnancy symptoms because I haven't thrown up! I have felt nauseous almost every morning, and sometimes throughout the day, but not unbearable. Other symptoms I have been having aren't so fun! I have been exhausted lately! Partly because I am not sleeping as well, and partly because all the baby brewing makes your body tired... make that exhausted. I am lucky to have Morgan cause he loves making me dinner and helping me around the house! It's really cute! Another thing that happens during pregnancy is hunger. I am eating a lot more, and if I am hungry it's almost unbearable! My dr. wants me to gain about 35 pounds which is more than average since I started my pregnancy under weight. Other than those few things, I would say I have it pretty great! I thoroughly enjoy my pregnancy and find each day very exciting!

We're having a baby!!

It's official, we are expecting a baby! I am 11 weeks now, and the official due date is April 27th! We are extremely excited and can't wait for our new little addition.

The ultrasound picture is 10 weeks along so the baby is really small, but it was so exciting to see our cute little baby moving and the heart beating! I am really excited to be a mommy, and Morgan is ecstatic to be a daddy! I know he will make such a great dad!

We still have to wait until 20 weeks to find out what we are having and I am already getting impatient! I can't wait to find out so we can start buying cute little baby stuff.

I finally decided to take some pictures of our cute little home! I've still got a lot of decorating to do, but it's a start for now. We just love living here and we lucked out with having great neighbors.

New Camera... more adventure

I ordered a new Kodak 10.2 megapixel camera last week and it came today! It's so cute and I am really excited to take some great pictures. I was so over due for a new camera I hadn't been taking pictures for a while. Now that I have it I will post some new exciting pics! Also, it came with great software so I can edit all my pics and I can even make cards. I made a practice Christmas card and it was so much fun!

"I belong to the church of Jesus Christ of latter Day Saints"

Since Morgan and I have gotten married we have been setting major goals in our lives. We are going to go through the temple together and be sealed to each other forever. Since we have set that goal and have started working toward it we have noticed a huge change in our lives. We feel very blessed to have each other, our jobs, our home to come home to and much, much more. We can feel the love our Heavenly Father has for us and we know the gospel has really helped us in our lives.
We also have a goal to start a family! We are both so ecstatic about that and the day it happens will be so exciting!
Also, more goals further down the road... buying a home, finishing school, paying for school, etc.

Back to school

Summer has come, and almost gone. I am sad that it's almost over. We didn't do everything we wanted to this summer, but we did have a lot of fun together!

Our summer recap:

We got married!!

Went to San Diego

Moved to Spanish Fork

Watched the first three seasons of Grey's Anatomy. It became an obsesion really.

Went camping

Really experienced sushi and loved it! Nope... raw fish does not scare us.

Started making our house a home: bought new furniture, and have started decorating

Went swimming with the nieces and nephews

Had many great nights just hanging out with our friends Ian and Emily

Cuddled... a lot

etc.

I guess we did do more than I thought, but we haven't been down the Provo river on our River rats (tubes) yet. That is one thing I am determined to do before the water gets too cold and the temp. drops. It has to be really hot because once you're in the water it tends to get a little cold!

Now that fall is almost here I have to say I think the changing leaves are absolutely stunning and the air is very refreshing. It is the perfect time of year for a long walk or a drive up the canyon. It's the perfect time to roll down the windows and really enjoy the breeze.

Back to school is now here! I am excited and a little nervous to begin again. I start school on August 27th, and Morgan has already begun classes. I graduated with my cosmetology degree over a year a go, and before that I went to UVSC for one semester, so it's been quite a while. I might be a little rusty but I am eager to learn and excited for a challenge. My mind is not completely made up what I am going into which makes it a little harder, but I still have some generals I need to complete before I really take off. Morgan is very motivated and excited to work toward his degree in hospital management. He is very diligent and I am very excited for him!!

Fun in the sun

Last week we had some family up from Saint George so we all got together to go to Payson pool. I'm more about the swimming and playing than the laying out so I had a blast! Cloey and Dillian were so playful and they wanted me to do everything with them. We went around the lazy river played under the spilling bucket and Cloey showed me her amazing swimming skills! Cloey is a little princess and she is so loveable, she loves cuddling and holding hands. I always love when they come up! Jason took Mason off the diving board and he wasn't scared at all! After that Cloey decided she wanted to go too, so I jumped first and waited for her to jump into my arms! She loved it so much! When it came time to go the kids were so sad to see us go. I really hope we get to see them before Christmas!

Marriage

Morgan and I have been married almost three months now and loving every minute. Being married is more than I ever thought, and there is a joy that comes with that which I had never known before. He is the most wonderful husband, and I am excited to one day go through the temple with him. I feel like we are true soul mates, and I am truly lucky :)

About a month a go we moved to our new place in Spanish Fork, which is so cute! I am finally getting it decorated how I like and it's truly coming together! I love being so close to work, family, and friends. We plan on being here for a couple years, and maybe even starting a family here.

On the 24th of July Morgan and I went to the Spanish Fork parade with Ian and Emily. It was a lot of fun! That day, we also attended another tradition... sushi! It's a new tradition, but after the discovery of a good sushi place in Provo I keep getting cravings for sushi making it a weekly occurance. I am glad Morgan, Ian, and Emily like it just as much so I can continue to satisfy my craving!

Summer Fun

Over the 4th of July Morgan and I went camping for the first time of the year! We went with his brother Jason, sis-in-law Michele, nephew Mason, and his mom Pam.

We went into the mountains above Richfield. I had never been camping there before, and it was absolutely breathtaking. The evergreens were lush and full, their were wild flowers growing everywhere and a creek ran right next to the camp spot. There were not a lot of people there which was great. I love getting away, and camping as far from people as I can so it was perfect. Morgan, Jason, and I went on a 5 mile hike to the summit. It was cool when we started, but I quickly got really hot and had to take off all my extra layers. once we got to the top there was quite a bit of snow and the wind was really high so I put my winter coat back on. The view was amazing, I felt like I was on top of the world! That night it started storming with rain and hail so hard we all hid under the tent for a while. By the time it stopped, everything was completely soaked so we decided we needed to pack up and go before it started again. We would've stayed, but we couldn't make a fire so we would all freeze! Other than that, it was a great start to the summer!

Blessed!

We have now been in our new place for a week and we absolutely love it! It's so clean and nice, and it feels like home. We have been decorating, and it is so cute! We went to clean the old place yesterday to get it ready for the new tenants and when we got there I realized how small it was. I don't know how we lived there for as long as we did. I am really grateful that we did live there because I appreciate what we have now so much! We are so blessed with what we have.

Bridals

For my bridals we went to the Spanish Fork Golf Course. Like all of my pictures for the wedding, it was very overcast. It had been raining that morning, and we were really close to rescheduling, but we went for it. It sprinkled a little bit and it was freezing, but they turned out great!

Family

Our family's had a couple times they got to meet during the wedding process. My mom threw us a wedding dinner, and then again at the wedding. I'm so happy Morgan is a part of his family, and I am apart of his! Most of all, I am happy are our own little family right now!

Honeymoon

For our honeymoon we drove to San Diego. Morgan had never been there, and I had only been there when I was young, so we were both extatic to go! We left bright and early.. around 6am on Saturday to drive to Saint George. We were going to stay there the first night, and drive the rest of the way on After that we went to lunch and then headed to the outlets. At our first stop Morgan was going to buy a shirt for me, and he pulled out his card. The lady asked for his I.D. and he didn't have it! He had no idea where it was, and he had no other proof of I.D. We called the hotels, and of course, we couldn't check in without I.D. and I wasn't listed on them with him. Luckily, we had planned to eat dinner with Morg's sister Holly which lives there so we called her and went over there, so we could use the interenet and change everything in my name. It all worked out great, and I was so happy we got to hang out with his family! We don't get to see them very often because they live so far away, and they are so amazing! They have the cutest little kids ever. We went to dinner with them later and then went back to the hotel. The next day we headed off to California. I had never driven there so I didn't know what to expect... there was really nothing to see till we got there. It's pretty dead in between Vegas and San Diego. We stayed in Old Town which was so cute! We went to all the shops in Old Town and the haunted house. We aso went to Sea World and the malls. We had fun just hanging out and being together! It was the perfect start to us! I love road trips!

hair

I graduated from Dallas Roberts Academy in April 2007 with my cosmetology license. At the time I was working at a Salon in Sugarhouse and I really loved my job, but I was commuting from Springville! It was taking me and hour to get to work and an hour back so I felt like I was working 11 hour days! I was missing out on life, and all the fun things I could be doing. At the time Morgan and I decided to look for a place in Salt Lake City so I could keep my job. I looked for days and days. I spent a lot of hours driving around, looking at classifieds, browsing KSL and Craigslist with no luck. There were so many places available, but I kept coming up with every excuse why we shouldn't live there so I decided I really didn't want to live in Salt Lake. I am more of a small town girl, and I almost felt dirty living there. I had lived there a little before, and I just didn't like the traffic and all the people. I didn't feel like I was anybody special up there because of all the people! My life was moving in a different direction and I decided to take the plunge and put in my two weeks. I was really sad to go, and I ended up staying there about two months longer than planned to find another job. I left around Thanksgiving and started looking for greener pastures in Utah County. I started at a Salon in Payson and realized whoa! This totally isn't me. I was so used to the fast paced, always busy, easy clientele in Salt Lake and went to sitting around, hopefully getting one or two clients. If you know me, I go crazy if I sit around for too long so I decided to get a second job on top of that at a bank. I had talked to my manager about it, but when it actually happened she didn't like it. She wanted my full attention at the salon, but honestly I couldn't pay the bills with the job so, for the first time in my life I quit. I hate that and I'm not that kind of girl! I like having one job for a long time, and so I felt so low quitting. Anyway, it was a blessing in disguise because I now have a job I love at the bank! I am doing hair on the side and love doing it for friends and family. Hair has now become my hobby, and Morgan said when we own a home he will put a salon in so I can have a designated place to do hair!

Engagements

I can say I'm a picture freak! I love pictures, and I love putting them up all over my apartment, so I was extremely excited for our engagement pictures. We kept putting off taking our engagements because of the weather. It was extremely wet and snowy this year so spring also came a little late. We waited until the last minute to see if would warm up, or turn even a little green, but it didn't. It was actually very cold and overcast the day of pictures. I would wear my jacket right up to taking the pictures, and we actually have our jacket on in a couple of pictures. All in all, because it was overcast, we had great lighting for Kelli. I have to say, I love my engagement pictures even better than the wedding pictures and my bridals. She just did an amazing job, and I feel like I look like myself. I don't know why, but I feel a little too done up in some of my wedding pictures. Morgan is really fun to take pictures with becase he is so funny! He was making funny comments, and making us laugh so hard, and you can tell! There's one picture where I'm actually doubled over in laughter, because there was a cat that kept following Kelli when we were behind the riverwoods. Sounds crazy, but Morgan likes to cats. He thinks he can speak cat, and sadly, they really do listen. Trust me though, when he does, it's absolutely hilarious!!

Just Married

Morgan and I were married May 9th at the White Willow. The day started out a little hectic, but ended absolutely perfect. I decided to do my hair myself, which might sound crazy but I whenever I got my hair done for dances I always came home, took it out, and re-did it myself. Plus, I wanted to put in extensions. I have always wanted my hair to be super long for my wedding, like every girl, but unfortunately it wasn't by that time so I used my next option... extensions, and it worked great! All my friends and family have been so supportive, and absolutely love Morgan. I couldn't wait to marry him. When it came time to walk down the aisle it seemed like a dream. I walked in, my arm in my dads and looked at Morgan. He had the biggest smile, and I knew he was extremely excited! When I got to the alter, I looked at Morgan, and he looked like he was about to cry. We both went through a lot right before the wedding and it was so amazing the day had finally came. After saying our "I do's" we took pictures and mingled the rest of the night. We were so happy to see everyone we cared so much about there supporting us. It was the perfect night.
(Thanks to Kelli for the amazing pictures! She's one of my closest friends, and a great photographer)
