Princess Paige turns 4 weeks!

My sweetie turns 4 weeks today and I can't believe how fast time has gone. I love her so much and I love getting to know her personality! Every day brings a new adventure and it's the most amazing thing in the world to be a mommy! I am amazed when I watch Morgan with her, he is such a good Daddy! He actually likes diaper changes, and he loves giving Paige baths and washing her hair. I am so blessed to have such a great family!!

A few of my favorite things about Paige are:
-She has the cutest, fluffiest hair after a bath! It becomes unruly and it's so so cute!
-Her little noises. She loves to squeak and grunt
-Her facial expressions. She is very animated and loves to smile, grin very huge, look troubled, frown, etc. She has so many faces!
-Her cute adorable cry! Paige doesn't cry very much at all, she mostly will just make a little squeak when she wants something so when she does cry it's so cute!!
-Her beautiful face. I love looking at her, she is so beautiful!
-Her absolutely stunning skin. She has a beautiful olive complexion that she got from Morgan.
-Her eyes. When she looks at me, and starts to interact I just love it so much. She has been getting more interactive every day!
-Her personality. Okay, I'm still getting to know her, but so far she is very sweet! She is super cuddly and loves to be held!

I am going to try and update every week what is happening with our family, and mostly Paige!

One week Photos

Paige is now 3 weeks and 3 days and it has gone by sooo fast! At one week our friend Kelli Brewer came over to take Paige's newborn pics before she moved back to D.C. She did such an amazing job!! She is still working on most of them, but she gave us a sneak peak, and so far I absolutely love them!

Our Beautiful Baby

It has now been one week a go on April 17th that I gave birth to our beautiful, healthy baby girl Paige. She came into this world at 6:10 in the morning weighing 6 pounds 7 ounces, and measuring 19 inches long!

I was actually scheduled to be induced Friday the 17th in the evening and Paige decided she wanted to come naturally instead :). I took Thursday off of work because I became so uncomfortable I could not even stand for very long, and was extremely exhausted. Morgan had also taken the night off of work to be with me, and to get some sleep before the induction the next day. Thursday night I was just getting ready for bed and had laid down to watch a little TV before going to sleep. All of a sudden I felt the baby punch me and... my water broke! I quickly jumped up in a panic and started saying, "we need to go to the hospital, my water just broke!" Morgan got ready faster than I knew any person could get ready, and in about two minutes we were out the door. My contractions started almost immediately and from the beginning to her birth it was about 6 hours! Morgan was so amazing through the whole process. He was such a great support, and I don't know if I could have done it without him! Right after Paige was born I got to hold her for a second before they whisked her away to the NICU. She was having a hard time transitioning and breathing, so they put her on a ventilator and some monitors for about two hours. Luckily Morgan got to with her so I wasn't as worried. After about an hour and half I finally got to go up there and see her, and then we went to the nursery where they gave her a bath and her shots. Right before we left the hospital Paige had her Billiruben levels checked for jaundice and she was measuring really high so we had to go back the next day and have them checked again. After they were measuring high again her Dr. decided to put her on a UV bed. It is really sad to see her on it, but luckily they brought the bed straight to our house! Today her levels have dropped quite drastically so hopefully she can go off of the bed!

Being a mother has truly changed me and my outlook on life. I absolutely love her so much and am excited to watch her grow and change! Life is great!!

Happy Birthday Eliza!

My niece Eliza turned one today, and I have to say I have really love being an aunt. She has such a big personality and is such a momma's girl... for real! I've had so much fun this past year getting to know her and playing with her! Over the weekend Amber threw Eliza a birthday party for family and friends. It was a lot of fun and the best part was Eliza eating her birthday cake. She totally got into it, she had her hands in there just digging through the cake and then somehow she got her foot up there into the cake, it was hilarious!

Baby quilt

I just had to post some pictures of this baby quilt my mom made for the baby. She spent so much time on it, and it is absolutely beautiful. I just can't wait to wrap the baby up in it!

Baby Shower

Yesterday my Aunt Katherine threw a baby shower for me and baby Paige. She made the yummiest snacks, and made everyone feel welcome in her home. There were a lot of people who came, and I really realized how much my little family to be is loved. Everyone was so generous and thoughtful, and I really appreciate all they do for me. I especially love the home made gifts that people really put a lot of their precious time and effort to make.

Now that I am so close to Paige's birthday I have been really thinking a lot about how everything is going to change. I feel so blessed to be getting such a precious little soul and for Morgan and I to be trusted enough to raise her. I want to do my best, and really be a great mother. I already love her, and I feel so emotional when I think of her, and how lucky I am to have a daughter.

Thank you to all who came yesterday, and for all the love and support you have shown me, Morgan, and baby Paige. I can't wait for everyone to meet her!

The Nursery

Morgan and I have been putting together the nursery, and it's been so much fun! Everything for babies is so freakin' cute and I just want to get it all! Here are a few pics of the start of it and I will post some after everything is finished :)
